"A professional, cost effective alternative to expensive pay-by-the-minute teleconferencing plans."
How Does It Work?
1. Purchase
your monthly subscription to unlimited conference calling. Prepay by
credit card or electronic funds transfer
So How Can We Offer So Much Savings?
BrainWave Communications lets you take advantage of the recent drop in
long-distance rates. You may already be paying less than $20 per month for
unlimited long-distance. Now you can pay less for conferencing, too.
Our monthly subscription fee pays for your firm's unlimited use of our
conference bridging equipment. Your participants pay for their own
long-distance to join the conference call.
If you are now using an 800 number for conferencing, you are probably paying too
much for the long-distance call that is buried in the price per minute.
BrainWave Communications provides you with a Dial-in Number and personal
passcodes. Participants make a long-distance call to join the conference.
A big part of the tremendous savings is derived from using your own competitive
long-distance provider.
Can I get a toll-free dial-in number so that
my attendees don't pay for the long-distance?
You certainly can. Your long-distance carrier can assign you a permanent
800, 888, 877 or 866 number which points to your BrainWave Communications
Dial-in Number. Ask your long-distance carrier. Your participants
will then dial in on that 800 number instead of your BrainWave Dial-in Number.
Or we can assist you in acquiring a low cost toll free number.
If we offered you one of our toll-free number we would have to charge you
by the minute.
How much can I save with BrainWave
Communications?
It depends on who you use for audio conferencing. Long-distance carriers
like AT&T are generally the most expensive, while there are dozens of
independent service providers whose prices may vary. You can ask them
about unlimited flat fee conference calls during prime business hours, but they
probably will not offer anything like BrainWave Communications. Send us a
recent bill from your current provider and we will show you how much you could
have saved with BrainWave Communications
It is past the middle of the month, will I
pay for a whole month if I sign-up today?
Yes, your anniversary date will be the same day each month.
I need only one or two calls this month and
then will not need the service again. Can I still sign-up?
You certainly can, we do offer individually scheduled calls also at a flat rate
per call
Can I have more than one conference call
going at the same time?
You can have as many conference calls in a month as you want, but they should
not overlap. For instance if you schedule a one hour conference call at
10:00 and another at 11:00 then you run the risk of your 11 o'clock parties
joining your 10 o'clock call before it is finished. You may want to leave
a 15 minute transition "gap" between scheduled calls.
If this is an issue for you, we can provide you with
additional accounts so that conference calls do not overlap. Two 50
participant accounts for a total of $390.00 per month could still be a terrific
bargain.
What features are available for individual
participants on a conference call?
(*6) - Mute the Line.
Participants will continue to hear the conference call and will not be heard by
others on the call. *6 again will unmute the participant. Folks with noisy cell phones and callers with lots of background
noise will appreciate this feature.
What features are available for the
conference call Host?
(*0) – Operator assistance
(*3) - Will lock
the call and prevent additional callers from joining the call. Press *3 again to
un-lock the call
(*4) -
Participant count. Press *8 and the number of people on
your call will be whispered in your ear.
(*5) - Presentation/Lecture Mode. Everyone will hear the Host, but not the
participants. Press *5 again to open all lines.
(*6) - Mute the Line. Press *6 again to un-mute
Can I record a conference call and have folks
listen to it later?
Yes you can. You just need to call the office and schedule the recording
with an operator. We will transfer the recording to either an audio cassette
tape, an audio CD, a .wav file on a CD, to a 24 hour replay line or we can
replay it at a scheduled time on your dial in number and passcodes. If you
want to put your conference call on your website then the .wav file is
recommended.
How many people can I get on a conference
call?
Depending on the type of service you choose you can have as many as 10, 20,50,
100, 200 or even 1000’s of lines open on a single conference call. It is
a good idea to have parties in the same building meet in a conference room so
that they can share a line with a speakerphone. This can allow for even
more participants on a call.
Is it possible to have an operator assist
with our call?
Yes, operators are available Monday thru Friday from 4:30 AM to 10:30 PM Pacific
Time. Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings. If you have any difficulty simply
press *0 and an operator will assist you.
Is there a cancellation fee?
There is never a fee to cancel your subscription to BrainWave Communications.
However, we do not prorate or credit the unused portion of a month's service.
What is the chance that your equipment will
be busy?
BrainWave Communications has been growing very quickly, but our Operations
Center has never been overwhelmed with usage. We monitor capacity
constantly and maintain standing orders for additional bridges. We install
excess capacity long before it is ever needed.
How do you handle international callers?
Actually, international callers can dial into our conference calls the same
straight-forward way your domestic participants do.
How many conference calls can I make in a
month?
There is no limit. They just cannot overlap.
Does each caller need an access code or just
the host? Why two access codes?
When you receive your confirmation from BrainWave Communications, you will
receive your permanent Dial-in Number and your two personal Access Codes.
The Participant Code you provide to each of your meeting attendees along with
the Dial-in Number. The other access code is just for you, the Host.
Do I have to make a reservation for my
conference call?
No! There is no need to make a reservation. Your service is
"on" and available for conference calls 24 hours a day and 7 days a
week. We do not expect you to let us know when you are planning to have a
conference call.
Can I dial out to a participant?
No. There is no dial-out feature available.
Will I hear a difference in sound or voice
quality?
You should not hear any difference between a BrainWave Communications Conference
Call and a normal long-distance call. We use the same long-distance
carriers that you do.
Do you offer a Premium Service?
BrainWave Communications is a full service teleconferencing firm. If you are looking for operator assisted calls, webcasting, tapes and transcription services we can also assist you with that.
Do you offer web conferencing, data
conferencing or webcasting?
Yes. We would be happy to give you specifics for the collaboration service that you are currently using or considering.
